Businesses as a Force for Good: "A Case for Good" Event Series
Raleigh, NC — On January 30, 2025, "A Case for Good," a transformative four-part event series, debuted at The Loading Dock in Raleigh. This series explores how purpose-driven businesses can create meaningful impact while driving sustainable growth. The inaugural event featured author Steven Overman of The Conscience Economy as the keynote speaker. This series will continue with three additional sessions exploring sustainability, community engagement, and impact storytelling.
The idea for the series came from Stephanie Brady, founder of i.f.g Studios , and Jessie Hathcock, President of The Loading Dock. Their shared vision of helping businesses align purpose with profit sparked the creation of "A Case for Good."
"We believe businesses can redefine success by aligning purpose with profit; by doing so, not only are communities strengthened, so are the businesses making an impact,," said Jessie Hathcock, organizer of the series. "'A Case for Good' is about showcasing practical ways that companies can get started right where they are, to lead with values, inspire change, and thrive sustainably."
The series brings together thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and business professionals who share a vision of a future where businesses prioritize both social impact and profitability. Participants will gain actionable insights into integrating social and environmental responsibility into their core strategies, creating ripple effects that benefit their communities.
